About the talk
What it covers
As a technical coach, the first questions I get are about splitting a large system into microservices: API protocols, messaging, containers, orchestrators. They matter, but they are not where to start. Users care about the experience, business people think in domains and capabilities, and teams work best when they are cross-functional and focused.
I propose four types of boundaries (user experience, functional, social and technical), the techniques and tools that help identify and visualise each one, and how they depend on each other.
